Steve and Erin Brown

Steve grew up in a Jewish home with a deep desire to know God, but he was strongly opposed to Jesus and the Christian faith. During his first two years of college, he joined the local Hillel club to explore Judaism. Despite his strong desire to find God in his Jewish roots, it never fully felt complete, and something was missing.

Then, on November 1st, 1998, during his junior year of college, God began to open his eyes. That’s when he met his amazing wife, Erin. At first, he was very resistant and closed to the gospel. He even told her he would never believe it, but she explained that he didn’t yet know the power of her God, and she was right.

In 2005, he felt called to attend Grace Chapel Indio and was baptized later that year. He became a member and went on to serve as a high school youth leader. He now regularly leads Thursday night men’s Bible studies and seasonal community groups.
Steve has a passion to equip the local church by exalting Jesus Christ and drawing hearts to a devoted love and obedience through the teaching of God’s Word. He desires to shepherd God’s people to know, experience, and share the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. When Steve is not studying, you will find him running, hiking, or mountain biking with his wife.
