#13 - End Times Encouragement: The Dead in Christ

Paul continues to “complete what is lacking” in the faith of the Thessalonians (3:10). He shifts from practical guidance on sanctification to doctrinal teaching with practical application. Though they understood the times and seasons (5:1), and were eagerly waiting for Christ’s return (1:10) they were uncertain about those fellow believers who had already died. Paul’s instruction about the dead in Christ contains three encouraging elements for believers mourning the death of fellow believers.
