Embracing a Common Confession
I. Introductory Comment — What is a common confession?
A Common Confession is a “code of faith . . . to assistance you in controversy, a confirmation in faith, and a means of edification in righteousness.” (author unknown)

C. H. Spurgeon said a common confession “gives credence to no teaching but that which is manifestly approved of Him, and owned by the Holy Spirit. Cleave fast to the Word of God which is here mapped out for you.” (referring to the London Baptist Confession of Faith)
